Andrew Coles is a graduate of King’s College London KQC with a First Class Honours degree and a Henry Neville Gladstone Exhibition. He was a recipient of a British Academy Postgraduate Studentship and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of the British Academy. For his Master’s and PhD, as well as for his postdoctoral research, he worked at the universities of London and Oxford as well as the Institute of Classical Studies, publishing on the early history and philosophy of science, including a book for Oxford University Press.

Andrew Coles has a Diploma in technical analysis from the UK Society of Technical Analysts (STA-UK) and a Diploma in international technical analysis from the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA). He is also a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe).

With a broad background in technical analysis, he specializes in MIDAS, Welles Wilder’s Delta system (for which he has discovered several new timeframes), Elliott Wave theory, and other techniques. He was requested by IFTA to write the Elliott Wave entry for IFTA’s “Body of Knowledge” project.
